Oil rises in value, and Brent is at $114.85 a barrel

May 25, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for il of benchmark grades are rising in Wednesday’s trading.

At the London ICE Futures Exchange the July’s Brent crude futures rose by $1.29 (1.14%) up to $114.85 per barrel by 09:26 am. Following the trading on 24 May, the price of July’s Brent crude futures grew by $0.14 (0.12%) up to $113.56 per barrel.

At the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the July’s WTI oil futures increased in price by $1.21 (1.10%) up to $110.98 per barrel by 09:27 am. Following the trading on 24 May, the price of WTI oil futures for July fell by $0.52 (0.47%) to $109.77 per barrel.

The day before, WTI oil fell in price after the U.S. Department of Energy announced its intention to sell another 40.1 million barrels of oil from the strategic oil reserve.
