IGB to supply Azerbaijani gas to Europe certified

May 26, Fineko/abc.az. The energy regulators of Bulgaria and Greece have certified Interconnector Turkey-Bulgaria (IGB) to transport Azerbaijani natural gas to Europe and from there to Bulgaria, ABC.AZ reports with reference to Bulgarian publication Bulgaria Today.

The commercial operation of the interconnector will begin after 1 July 2022: "IGB is of strategic importance and allows connecting the gas transmission systems of Greece and Bulgaria, diversifying gas supplies to Bulgaria and Southeastern Europe," the publication reports.
