Fitch Ratings Forecast: Global inflationary pressure keeps on increasing

13:00 - 14.06.2022

June 14, Fineko/abc.az. An international rating agency has downgraded its outlook on global GDP growth.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to June’s issue of Fitch Ratings’ Global Economic Outlook that global inflationary pressure continues growing and is beginning to have increasingly negative impact on economic growth.

"The recent production restrictions in China related to COVID-19 are increasing pressure on global supply chains. Disruptions in energy and food supplies caused by the conflict between Russia and Ukraine have a stronger impact on inflation in Europe than expected," agency’s analysts think.

Inflationary pressures are also intensifying in the services sector, particularly in the U.S. and the UK, where intensive labor markets are increasing nominal wage growth.
