Finnish tire manufacturer leaves Russian market

June 29, Fineko/abc.az. Finnish tire manufacturer Nokian Tyres, which decided to curtail its business in Russia because of the situation in Ukraine, informed the authorities of the Leningrad Oblast about the dismissal of 300 employees of the plant located in the region, ABC.AZ was informed at company's press service.

"After careful consideration and evaluation of various options, we decided to leave Nokian Tyres without presence in Russia and focus on growth opportunities in our main markets. It was not an easy decision, considering that we have more than 1,600 dedicated employees in Russia, whose experience we highly value, as well as long-term relationships with customers and suppliers built over the past 17 years," the press service quotes the president and CEO of Nokian Tyres, Jukka Moisio.
