In Italy, there is another wave of COVID-19 epidemic

July 6, Fineko/abc.az. Italy has been gripped by a new wave of coronavirus. So, more than 100,000 cases of coronavirus infection were recorded during the day.

ABC.AZ reports that over the past day, 132,274 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Italy, 94 cases have died.

This is the highest figure recorded since 1 February of this year.

A day earlier, 36,282 new cases of COVID-19 were detected, 59 people died. At that, the share of positive tests for coronavirus among all the studies conducted has almost unchanged - 28.4% versus 27.9%.

At the moment, 1,087,272 are COVID-19 sick in Italy. A total of 18,938,771 people have been infected since the beginning of the pandemic, and the number of deaths has reached 168,698.
