March 15, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani entrepreneurs have come up with a proposal to pay VAT on the sale of goods.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the National Confederation of Business Organizations (Employers) of Azerbaijan that the proposal was announced at a meeting of the Cooperation Council and the State Customs Committee with the participation of entrepreneurs.

At the meeting, the businessmen noted that the examination period for customs clearance of goods takes a long time, and as a result the delay of cargo at the border leads to an increase in additional costs for logistics and storage.

SCC reps noted that they are ready to provide support to entrepreneurs within the law on simplification of customs procedures.

It should be noted that the VAT rate in Azerbaijan is 18%.
