June 24, Fineko/abc.az. The holding of COP 29 in 2024 in Azerbaijan has been confirmed.

The unanimous decision to hold such a prestigious event as COP 29 in Azerbaijan, the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, testifies to the great respect and trust in Azerbaijan from the international community, as well as recognition of our country's contribution to environmental protection and prevention of climate change at the national, regional and global levels.

ABC.AZ reports that this was stated by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev at a scientific and practical conference on the topic "The role of educational and law enforcement measures in strengthening the environment” in the city of Khankendi.
