July 1, Fineko/abc.az. The wealth of Russian billionaires has increased by $28.749 billion since the beginning of 2024.

ABC.AZ reports that this follows from the Bloomberg Billionaires Index published by Bloomberg.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, since the beginning of the year, the co-founder of Eurochem and SUEK, Andrey Melnichenko, has earned $5.76 billion, his fortune amounted to $24.6 billion.

The value of the billionaire's cash investments and personal assets is partly based on media reports and figures provided by representatives of the companies' press services.

The fortune of Severstal founder Alexei Mordashov grew by $4.71 billion up to $25.6 billion. The value of his cash investments is based on the analysis of dividends, insider transactions, taxes and market indicators.

At that, the founder of Lukoil, Vagit Alekperov, earned $3.54 billion, his fortune grew up to $28.2 billion.

In total, the Bloomberg Billionaires Index ranking includes the 500 richest people in the world. It now includes 25 Russian citizens, their total wealth as of July 1, 2024 is $354.99 billion.
