July 9, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is to issue free electronic COP29 Special Visas to all foreigners who have registered to participate in the climate conference.

ABC.AZ reports that COP29 special visa allows only one-time entry and exit into the country.

To re-enter the country, the conference participant must apply for a new special COP29 visa using the registration number of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

The passports of all foreign citizens arriving in Azerbaijan under COP29 must be valid for at least 6 months after the expected date of entry into the country.

After confirming registration through the UNFCCC online registration system, participants will be sent a link to apply for a visa by e-mail. The date of issue will be indicated on the COP29 special visa, it will be valid until November 30 of this year.

A system for applying for an electronic visa for COP29 will be introduced in the near future.
