Gold production in Azerbaijan observed growth for past half-year – Report

July 15, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of 2024, gold production in Azerbaijan increased, but copper and silver production fell.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the country produced 1,003.7 kg of gold ore in the first 6 months of the year (3% higher than the result of 2023).

The gold reserves totaled only 247.7 kg. Copper production decreased by 94.6% to 100.8 tons per year.

There are only 14.7 tons of copper ore left in the warehouse. Silver production decreased by 6.6% to 1,720.1 kg for past half of 2024. 679.1 kg of silver remains in stock.

This June, 1 ounce of gold was traded in the range of about $2,400.
