July 15, Fineko/abc.az. Despite the fact that the total volume of deposits of Unibank OJSC increased in the 1st half of 2024, the volume of raised customer finances in national currency decreased.

ABC.AZ informed that this is reflected in bank's report from June 30, 2024.

According to bank's data on "currency risk", deposit portfolio totaled the equivalent of 1.2 billion manats.

Of them, 919.5 million manats were finances raised in the national currency. At the end of 2023, out of the total amount of deposits in the equivalent of 1.215 billion manats, 938.3 million manats accounted for the national currency.

Thus, in the first half of the year, the volume of deposits in manats decreased by 18.8 million manats, or 2%.

The share of deposits in manats in the total deposit portfolio fell from 77% at the beginning of the year to 74% in the first half of 2024. And for Jan-Jun 2023, the share of deposits in manats in overall volume of deposits made up 75%.

The decrease in the share of deposits in manats is mainly caused by a decline in term deposits. For example, if at the beginning of 2024 the volume of term manat deposits of Unibank amounted to 565.3 million manats, by the end of the 1st half of the year it dropped by 7% to 527.9 million manats.
