July 19, Fineko/abc.az. After the anti-terrorist operation, landfills for waste disposal were created in the territories liberated from occupation.

ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made by Sabit Zeyniyev, deputy chairman of board at Tamiz Shahar OJSC, at the next meeting of the working group on environmental issues.

He added that landfills with an area of 10 hectares in Aghdere, 20 hectares in Khojaly and 10 hectares in Khojavand have been created to eliminate waste.

"Waste from both Khankendi and the city of Shusha will be destroyed at the landfill in Khojaly. The Azerbaijani National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) is carrying out work at the landfills in Khojaly and Khojavand, and work will be carried out in Aghdere in the near future," Zeyniyev said.
