July 22, Fineko/abc.az. Compared with Jan-Jun 2023, the number of arrivals to Azerbaijan from the Persian Gulf countries increased by 49% up to 200,000 people, from the member states of the European Union by 30% up to 46,700 people, from the CIS countries by 22.3% up to 472,800 people.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the State Border Service, 73.5% of foreigners and stateless persons arriving in our country traveled by air, 25.2% by rail and road, and 1.3% by sea.

Compared with Jan-Jun 2023, the total number of citizens of Azerbaijan traveling abroad increased by 25.7% and amounted to 995,200 people. The number of citizens of Azerbaijan traveling to Iran grew by 39.1%, to Türkiye by 23.7%, to Georgia by 17.7%, to the Russian Federation by 15.4%. Men accounted for 66.4% of the total population, women - 33.6%.

Over Jan-Jun 2024, 68.0% of citizens of Azerbaijan visiting foreign countries used air transport, 29.6% traveled by rail and road, and 2.4% by sea.
