July 22, Fineko/abc.az. In 6 months of 2024, the total number of Azerbaijani citizens who left for foreign countries increased by 25.7% compared with Jan-Jun 2023, up to 995,200 people.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that the number of Azerbaijani citizens who left for Iran increased by 39.1%, to Türkiye by 23.7%, to Georgia by 17.7%, to Russia by 15.4%. And 66.4% of outbound travelers were men and 33.6% — women.

For the past 6 months, 68% of Azerbaijani citizens who went abroad traveled by air, 29.6% by rail and road, 2.4% by sea transport.
