July 24, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan will export more than 1,000 tons of meat to Vietnam annually.

In this regard, a Memorandum of Intent on cooperation between Canet LLC and the Association of Chefs of Vietnam was signed in Baku.

Company’s head Tural Aliyev said that negotiations in this direction were held in this direction at a meeting in Vietnam this May:

“According to the signed Memo of Intent, meat will be exported from Azerbaijan based on the demand of Vietnamese companies. The volume of exports is projected at more than 1,000 tons per year. The delivery will be carried out mainly by air transport. Chilled meat will be transported by air, and frozen meat by road.”

According to the State Customs Committee, in the first half of 2024, products worth $302,250 were exported from Azerbaijan to Vietnam (282-fold less against Jan-Jun 2023).

At that, in 6 months of 2024, Azerbaijan imported products for $63,386 from Vietnam (8% less versus Jan-Jun 2023).
