Data unveiled on finances spent on ACG for Jan-Jun 2024

August 1, Fineko/abc.az. In the first 6 months of 2024, about $243 million in operating expenses and more than $698 million in capital expenditures were spent on filed block Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG).

Thus, total ACG expenses in the 1st quarter of this year reached $941 million..

According to the company, for Jan-Jun 2024, 9 oil production wells and one water injection well were drilled at the contract block. As of the end of June 2024, 144 oil producing, 45 water and 8 gas injection wells were in operation.

The contract for the development of the Azeri, Chirag and deepwater Gunashli fields was signed in 1994. Its validity period expired in 2024, and in September 2017 a new contract was signed for the period until 2050.
