August 1, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of 2024, operating costs on Shah Deniz amounted to approx. $1.251 million, and operating costs - close to $407 million, ABC.AZ informs, referring to BP's reports on activities in Azerbaijan following the 1st half of 2024.
Thus, for Jan-Jun 2024, the total cost of Shah Deniz reached about $1.658 billion (a rise of 2.6% against last year).
"Most of these expenses related to Shah Deniz 2," the report says.
In the 1st half of the year, gas supplies from Shah Deniz field to the markets of Azerbaijan (Azerkontract OJSC), Georgia (GOGC company), Türkiye (BOTAŞ company), BTC for numerous facilities and for buyers in Europe were continued.
In the first six months of the year, about 14 bcm were extracted from the field - from platforms Shah Deniz Alpha and Shah Deniz Bravo (an increase of 7.7% year-on-year) and more than 2 million cu m of condensate (the indicator has not changed).
The report says that the average daily production capacity of Shah Deniz facilities is currently about 80.7 million cu m (annual – about 29.5 bm).
