August 1, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st half of 2024, operating expenses on Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline amounted to about $70.5 million and capital expenditures — $17.7 million, ABC.AZ informs, referring to BP's report on activities in Azerbaijan following the 1st half of 2024.
BTC total expenses in the 1st half of this year amounted to $88.2 million.
"Since June 2006, when the 1,768 km BTC pipeline was put into operation, and until the end of June 2024, about 576 million tons (more than 4.3 billion tons) have been transported through it) of crude oil and with loading in Ceyhan on 5,707 tankers, this oil was delivered to world markets," the report says.
According to the document, about 14 million tons (approx. 110 million barrels) of crude oil and condensate exported via BTC were loaded and shipped on 150 tankers from the Ceyhan terminal.
