Apple reports for the 3rd fiscal quarter

August 2, Fineko/abc.az. Apple's sales for the 3rd quarter of the fiscal year increased by 5%, exceeding expectations on the back of rising revenue from services, as well as from the sale of iPads and iPhones.

ABC.AZ informs that according to the report, Apple's most important activity remains iPhone production, which accounted for about 46% of company's total sales for the quarter.

Earnings per share were $1.4 versus $1.35 according to analysts' estimates. Total net income was $21.45 billion for the quarter, compared with $19.88 billion, or $1.26 per share a year earlier.

Revenue was at $85.78 billion versus $84.53 billion estimated. Revenue from iPhone sales reached $39.3 billion against an estimated $38.81 billion. Mac sales revenue is $7.01 billion versus $7.02 billion estimated. Revenue for the iPad is $7.16 billion versus an estimated $6.61 billion. Revenue from services is $24.21 billion versus $24.01 billion estimated.
