August 6, Fineko/abc.az. In the period from January to May 2024, Azerbaijan’s gas supplies to Italy via the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) increased by 4.5%.

ABC.AZ reports that supplies amounted to 4.303 bcm.

The total gas imports to Italy in 5 months fell by 4.4% to 27.6 bcm, while 15.6% of the gas imported into the country came from Azerbaijan.
In May 2024, Azerbaijani gas supplies to Italy grew by 10.4% up to 890 million cu m.

The total import of natural gas to Italy in May decreased by 6.9% to 3.554 bcm, while gas from Azerbaijan accounted for 25% during that period.
In 2023, Italy received 9.988 bcm of gas from Azerbaijan via TAP.
This figure dropped by 3.2% against 2022.
Azerbaijan is expected to deliver 9.6 bcm of gas to Italy in 2024.
