August 6, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan is planning up to sign an intergovernmental agreement with Kazakhstan on strategic partnership in the energy sphere.
ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijan's Deputy Minister of Energy Orkhan Zeynalov sadi about this during his speech at the first meeting of energy ministers from Central Asian countries.
Talking about the current level of energy cooperation with Kazakhstan, he highlighted the resumption of Kazakhstani oil transportation via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline since March 2023.
"To further deepen the energy cooperation between our countries, a draft 'Agreement on Strategic Partnership in the Field of Energy between the Governments of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan' has been prepared. I am sure that the signing of this document will contribute to elevating the two nations' relations to a strategic level," Zeynalov said.
