August 26, Fineko/abc.az. Discussions were held in Azerbaijan regarding hotels and non-hotel accommodations that incorrectly displayed star ratings in outdoor advertising.

According to ABC.AZ, it was discovered that several hotels were selling rooms with higher star ratings without the appropriate certification. It was also found that some accommodation facilities, which do not meet the requirements specified in the "Tourism Law," were violating consumer rights by using the term "hotel."

To prevent consumer fraud and misinformation, and to ensure the protection of their rights and legitimate interests, a decision was made to stop the display of outdoor advertising for hotels that incorrectly indicate their star category.
