Uzbek company starts implementing cotton cluster project in Azerbaijan

August 27, Fineko/abc.az. The Uzbek company Tukimachi Sanoat Tekstil has begun implementing a cotton cluster project in Azerbaijan.

According to ABC.AZ, citing Report, 5,000 hectares of land in the Imishli district have been allocated to the subsidiary company TST Textile Group for the project's implementation.

The initial investment volume for the project is about 90 million manats. The cluster includes modern cotton growing enterprises, cotton processing, spinning, weaving, garment production, and oil production.

Additionally, a project called Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Friendship Gardens" will be implemented in Fuzuli on an area of 100 hectares, with planned investments of up to 5 million manats (50% from Uzbekistan, 50% from Azerbaijan).

Various types of fruit trees, including those imported from Uzbekistan, will be planted in the garden. The products obtained from horticultural activities are planned to be first sold in the markets of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, and then jointly exported to third countries.
