August 27, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's experience of Azerbaijan in irrigating land and providing financial support to farmers can be set as an example and used as an effective model for developing the agro-industrial complex, according to Uzbekistan's Minister of Agriculture, Ibrohim Abdurakhmonov.

ABC.AZ reports that speaking on the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel, Abdurakhmonov said ties with Azerbaijan have significantly expanded in recent years, particularly in the agricultural sector. Uzbekistan plans to approve an insurance mechanism in the agricultural sector at the legislative level, similar to the Azerbaijani experience.

Moreover, Abdurakhmonov noted that Uzbekistan aims to establish hazelnut plantations in the country. To this end, a trial batch of seedlings has been imported from Azerbaijan.
