August 27, Fineko/abc.az. Sadig Aliyev, Chairman of the Executive Board of the State Employment Agency under the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited the Chovdar Integrated Regional Processing Area (CIRPA) of AzerGold Closed Joint-Stock Company located in Dashkasan district.

S.Aliyev got acquainted with the production process in Chovdar gold mine, processing of precious metals and managing the tailings at CIRPA, and with the working environment provided at Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) Plant, which was involved in processing of precious metals by applying Heap leach pad (HLP) and Carbon-in-leach technologies.

He was informed that AzerGold CJSC contributes to increasing employment and providing citizens with safe working environment by establishing permanent jobs in Ganja-Dashkasan economic region. Furthermore, the total number of employees of AzerGold and its subsidiaries – Dashkasan Iron Ore LLC and AzerBlast LLC was about 1,000 people, and the number of workplaces together with long-term contractor companies was reached to 2,400. During the current year, 44 people in Dashkasan region were provided with jobs by AzerGold CJSC and its contractor companies based on the referral of the State Employment Agency.

S.Aliyev was also informed that the local residents, especially family members of martyrs and war participants were given the priority in the recruitment process, and the process was provided electronically and fairly, based on knowledge and skills. In addition, as corporate social responsibility of AzerGold, a joint project was implemented with the State Employment Agency to increase the employment of women in Dashkasan district, meetings were organized with women living in remote villages, and they were directed to self-employment programmes and other labour activities. The fruitful results of the project enabled cooperation in this direction. At the same time, based on the development strategy of AzerGold CJSC, it was planned to make contributions to increasing employment by establishing more new jobs during the project performance.

At the end, Sadig Aliyev, Chairman of the Executive Board of the State Employment Agency expressing his satisfaction about the visit, stated that the successful activities and operations of AzerGold CJSC in the field of mining has contributed to the development of the country's economy in the non-oil sector, especially the socio-economic improvement of Ganja-Dashkasan region, and the increase in the employment of the population.
