Türkiye sees decline in Azerbaijani-backed enterprises

August 28, Fineko/abc.az. The number of Azerbaijani investment companies operating in Türkiye has experienced a notable decrease.

ABC.AZ reveals that significant changes have occurred in the activities and investments of Azerbaijani-backed companies in Türkiye between 2023 and 2024.

A year-on-year comparison for July highlights a decline in both joint-stock companies and limited liability companies with Azerbaijani capital. In July 2023, there were 6 joint-stock companies, but this number dropped to just 1 in 2024. Similarly, the count of limited liability companies fell from 15 to 12 over the same period.

The overall investment in partnership companies has also taken a hit, plummeting to 7.6 million TL in July 2024 from 11.1 million TL in July 2023 – a substantial 32% decrease. Azerbaijan's specific investment in these partnership companies mirrored the downward trend, falling from 8.9 million TL to 7.3 million TL, marking an 18% reduction.
