August 29, Fineko/abc.az. A total of 2,034,032 tons of cereals and legumes (excluding rice) were used for food production in Azerbaijan in 2024.

According to ABC.AZ, citing data from the State Statistics Committee, this is 1.9% less than in 2022.

Of the cereals and legumes intended for food production last year, 87.6% or 1,782,725 tons were used for flour and cereal production (2.1% less), 33,330 tons for alcohol production (10.6% less), 65,821 tons for beer production (12.4% more), and 152,156 tons for other products (3.3% less).
