August 30, Fineko/abc.az. A familiarization visit to the area that will be put up for Azerbaijan's first renewable energy auction is planned for September 2024.

According to ABC.AZ, the site with an area of 300.77 hectares is located in the Pirsaat settlement of the Garadagh district of Baku. The auction for the Gobustan solar power plant is being implemented with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

A conference related to this project is also expected to be held in September. These issues were discussed at the third meeting of the specialized commission tasked with reviewing the candidates for the auction and selecting the winner.

The first stage of the auction has already been completed, with 8 companies with relevant profiles selected. Their proposal packages will be considered at the subsequent stage.
