September 4, Fineko/abc.az. By the end of 2026, 1 million Azerbaijani citizens are expected to use digital identity cards.

ABC.AZ reports that Deputy Minister of Digital Development & Transport Samir Mammadov stated about this at international event "Paperless Government: Digitalization & Environmental Impact".

He noted that the goal is for 65% of the population to acquire digital skills: "And by the end of 2024, it is planned to provide households with high-speed Internet.”
