September 4, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2024, 1,344,260 foreign citizens visited Azerbaijan (30% more versus Jan-Aug 2023), ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Tourism Agency.

In August 2024, 245,337 people visited Azerbaijan (23% more than in August 2023).

Last month, the largest number of tourists arrived in Azerbaijan from Russia - 63,339 people, followed by Türkiye (34,174 people) and by India (21,137 people).

During this period, 17,600 tourists arrived in Azerbaijan from Iran, 13,500 ones from Saudi Arabia, 9,900 from Georgia, 9,300 from Pakistan, 9,300 from Kazakhstan, 5,400 from the UAE, 5,100 from Kuwait, 4,900 from China, 4,600 from Oman, 4,200 from Uzbekistan, 4,000 from Israel and 3,400 tourists from Ukraine.
