September 4, Fineko/abc.az. Potatoes were harvested from an area of 30,160.9 hectares out of 46,752.1 hectares of crop area for Jan-Jul 2024.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the State Statistics Committee, the harvest area totaled 2,504.4 hectares, or 7.7% less than last year.

The harvest area was 64.5% of the sown area.

Over Jan-Jul 2023, potatoes were harvested from an area of 32,665.3 hectares.

For the past months of 2024, 598,638.4 tons of potatoes were harvested from cultivated areas (66,2833 tons or 10% less than a year earlier). Over Jan-Jul 2023, 664,921.7 tons of potatoes were harvested.

And the weight of potatoes harvested from each hectare amounted to 198.5 quintals, which is 5.1 quintals, or 2.5% less than in the last year.
