Stadler Rail Germany has released RS Zero train with zero carbon dioxide emissions

September 6, Fineko/abc.az. The manufacturer of railway rolling stock, Stadler Rail Germany, has announced the release of the RS Zero, a zero-carbon dioxide train that can run on electricity, hydrogen or a combination of the two.

ABC.AZ reports that with a single hydrogen engine, a train can travel 700 km, and a twin locomotive can travel 1,000 km. A full battery charge will add another 80 to 100 km, and in tandem from 90 to 180 km.

The RS Zero prototype will be presented in Berlin during the InnoTrans 2024 exhibition, which will take place at the end of September.
