September 10, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2024, 55% of entire electricity generated in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) came from alternative and renewable energy sources.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the NAR State Energy Service, that 45% of the total electricity produced for Jan-Aug 2024 was generated by thermal power plants, 42% by hydroelectric power plants, 13% by solar power plants.

Compared with Jan-Aug 2023, electricity generated by alternative and renewable energy sources grew by 20%.
