September 11, Fineko/abc.az. As of August 1, 2024, the number of employees in the country's economy reached 1,759 people, including 881,700 people in the public sector of the economy and 877,300 people in the non–governmental sector.

ABC.AZ reports thta according to the State Statistics Committee, 18.8% of employees are engaged in trade; vehicle repair, 18.3% in education, 12.8% in industry, 8.3% in healthcare and social services for the population, 7.1% in construction, 6.4% in public administration and defense; social security, 4.3% in transport and warehousing, 3.8% in the profession, scientific and technical activities, 3.3% in agriculture, forestry and fisheries, 2.2% in financial and insurance activities and 14.7% in other sectors of the economy.

Over Jan-Jul 2024, average monthly nominal salary of employees in the country's economy increased by 8.3% against Jan-Jul 2023 to 1,002.4 manats. And for Jan-Jul 2024, average monthly salary amounted to 1,002.8 manats.

In the mining industry, financial and insurance activities, professional, scientific and technical activities, information and communications, as well as in transport and warehousing, the average monthly nominal salary was even higher.
