September 12, Fineko/abc.az. Many large American, European and Japanese companies are actively reducing their investments in China or limiting new projects, ABC.AZ reports, referring to an article published by The Wall Street Journal.

It is reported that in only 15% of cases, the main priority of companies for international investments is China.

At that, the number of those who consider China a priority for foreign investment has fallen to the lowest level in the last 25 years.

For example, this week Honda Motor announced the suspension of production at three of its factories in China and the reduction of 2,000 jobs.

The reasons given by the interviewed experts point to the weakness of the Chinese economy. This is complicated by the deep crisis in the Chinese real estate market and the hostility in foreign trade relations with the United States that began under the previous president Donald Trump.

Foreign direct investments in China decreased by 8% at the end of last year.
