September 13, Fineko/abc.az. Residents of the Pirallakh Industrial Park in Azerbaijan plan to expand production of medicines, dietary supplements and components for medicines, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Economic Zones Development Agency.

According to the Agency, residents of the park plan to establish production of devices for measuring blood sugar, disposable three-component syringes, seven names of medicines in 42 different dosages and packages, including tablets, capsules, gelatin capsules, powders for the preparation of suspensions, syrups, etc.

In addition, biologically active additives and components for medicines will be produced.

Residents of the park currently produce syringes of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 ml, sterile intravenous catheters, sterile infusion kits, sterile latex surgical gloves, Diabeton MR and other products. The products are mainly focused on the domestic market. In the future, the manufactured medicines are to be exported to Russia, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Iran and other countries.

To date, 7 business entities are residents of the Pirallakh Industrial Park, whose investments in projects will exceed 121 million manats. Two residents are already carrying out production activities, they have invested more than 40 million manats, which has allowed creation of over 140 jobs.

At the next stage, it is planned to additionally invest more than 80 million manats on existing projects and create more than 400 permanent jobs.
