September 16, Fineko/abc.az. Production of oil with gas condensate in Azerbaijan for Jan-Aug 2024 reached 19.30 million tons (4.6% less versus Jan-Aug 2023), including production of commercial oil with condensate declined by 4.4% to 19.26 million tons.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that natural gas production increased by 2.6%, up to 33.3 bcm and commercial gas by 4.1% up to 25.12 bcm.

According to the Committee, in August 2024, 2.3 million tons of oil were produced in the country (a drop of 8% year-on-year), 2.6 bcm of commercial gas (a decrease of 13.3%).

Earlier, with reference to the Energy Ministry’s operational data, Azerbaijan cut oil production by 4.9% to 19.3 million tons and gas extraction grew by 2.5% up to 33 bcm.

In 2023, oil and gas condensate production in Azerbaijan totaled 30.18 million tons (a drop of 7.5% against 2022), gas – 48.4 bcm (a rise of 3.8%).

The Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan predicts production of oil with condensate in 2024 at the level of about 30 million tons, gas - over 48 bcm.
