September 16, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaiajn imported 1,971 electric vehicles for $78,483 for Jan-Aug 2024.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Customs Committee, that the indicator grew by $4,347 or 5.9% in value terms and by 168 vehicles or 9.3% in quantitative terms versus the 2023 same term.

For the past 8 months of 2024, the average export price of one electric vehicle was $39,819 (67,692 manats), which is $1,299 (2,209 manats) or 3.2% less against Jan-Aug 2023.

Over Jan-Aug 2023, the average export price of one electric vehicle was $41,118 (69,901 manats).

For the past 8 months of 2024, our country imported 58,939 cars for $1.11 billion. Compared with Jan-Aug 2023, the number of cars imported into the country decreased by 10.3% or by 6,787 cars, and their cost increased by 4% or $42.5 million.
