September 16, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2024, Azerebaijan imported 579,927 tons of wheat for $128,362.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee that compared with the 2023 same term, country’s wheat imports dropped by 13% in quantitative terms and by 30% in value.

In 8 months of 2023, Azerbaijan imported 668,319 tons of wheat for $183,581.

The average cost of one ton of imported wheat declined by $54 or 20% - from $275 to $221.
