ABC.AZ reports that previously, some tickets could not be refunded. In addition, when changing the departure date and returning tickets, a fine of 75% of the ticket price was applied. For passengers, the process of ticket replacement and refund was difficult. In some cases, a passenger who bought a ticket for 1,000 manats had to pay a fine of 750 manats when trying to return it.

Given the difficulties in this matter, changes have been made to the rules for the return and replacement of air tickets.

Tourism expert Rahman Guliyev says that it is now possible to return classic tickets of any value of the best-selling economy class by paying a fine.

And budget economy class tickets can be returned and exchanged without paying a fine within 3 hours from the date of purchase. Otherwise, tickets of this class will not be refunded and replaced.

AZAL also provided the opportunity to refund and replace some tickets after departure. That is, the tickets of tourists who, for some reason, do not catch the flight, do not disappear and can be exchanged for another date.

The expert added that so far there have been no significant changes in the rules for exchanging and returning tickets from other airlines. This step by AZAL can greatly facilitate the work of tourists and reduce the number of disputes on such issues.
