September 17, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2024, Azerbaijani citizens purchased 517 apartments in Türkiye, 90 of them in August.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Statistical Office of Türkiye that the indicator is 27 apartments (5%) less against Jan-Aug 2023. And compared with August 2023, there are 15 more apartments (20%). Azerbaijani citizens took the 7th place in Top 10 of the list of home buyers in Türkiye.

In total, 15,200 apartments were sold to foreign citizens in Türkiye for Jan-Aug 2024 (their number decreased by 10,124 units or 40% over the year). In August alone, 2,271 foreign citizens (807 units or 26.2% less) purchased housing in the country.

In August, the largest number of home buyers in Türkiye were still Russian citizens. Last month, 381 apartments were sold to them (352 fewer apartments, or 48.03%). And in 8 months of this year, Russians bought 3,289 apartments in this country (4,672 fewer units or 2.4-fold).
