Azerbaijan has prepared National Electric Mobility Plan

17:34 - 18.09.2024

September 18, Fineko/abc.az. The National Electric Mobility Plan has been prepared in Azerbaijan, within which the network of charging stations for electric vehicles will be expanded.

ABC.AZ reports that Javid Abdullayev, the head of the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Energy, says that opinions and proposals are currently being collected on the plan, which will be sent for further consideration.

He noted that the connection of charging stations and active consumers to the grid is mainly carried out through the distribution network, which causes fluctuations affecting the transmission network and increases the load on the power system. To minimize such an impact, it is planned to conduct research and develop solutions to stabilize the operation of distribution networks.

Currently, there are about 60 charging points for electric vehicles in Baku, 2 in Sumgayit, and about 35 in the regions.
