Average annual growth of investments in fixed assets is projected at 3%

September 18, Fineko/abc.az. In the medium-term prospect, Azerbaijan is projected to see a 3% annual growth in fixed capital investments.

ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the primary budget materials published by the Ministry of Finance for 2025.

According to the document, in 2025-2027, an increase in capital investments in the oil and gas sector is expected, as well as an increase in domestic investments.

Over Jan-Aug 2024, 11.216 billion manats were invested in fixed assets in Azerbaijan, or 1.7% more against Jan-Aug 2023.

At that, investments in the oil & gas sector decreased by 2.4%, while capital investments in the non-oil/gas sector increased by 3.9%.

Of the investments, 5.587 billion manats, or 49.8%, were spent on production, 4.287 billion manats, or 38.2%, on services, and 1.342 billion manats, or 12%, on construction.

9.315 billion manats, or 83.1% of investments directed for fixed assets, were domestic investments. 8.9 billion manats, or 72.1%, were spent directly on construction and installation works.
