September 19, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. Treasury Department has added 12 individuals, associated with Iran, to its sanctions list.

ABC.AZ reports that according to the Treasury's website, these sanctions target members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), officials of the Iranian Prison Organization and those responsible for operations abroad.

Referring to the failed policy of applying sanctions by the U.S., the EU and some Western countries against Iran, Iranian Foreign Affairs Ministry’s spokesman Nasser Kanani said earlier that insisting on “wrong and unconstructive approaches” is not a solution to any problem.

He added that this is part of the problem itself, and continuing such a wrong path towards the Islamic Republic will not be in their interests.
