September 20, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of direct investments of Azerbaijan in the economy of the United Arab Emirates in the first half of this year increased sharply compared with last year, and the largest share of direct investments of our country abroad accounts for the UAE.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the Central Bank that direct investments in the UAE economy in the first half of 2024 amounted to $396.95 million.

The figure exceeds 62.56 million manats, registered in the same period of 2023, by $334.39 million, or 5.4-fold.

At that, the UAE has also sharply increased the direct investments in the Azerbaijani economy. Over the past six months, the investments of the Persian Gulf country in Azerbaijan amounted to $236.54 million (only 64.83 million manats for the 2023 same term).
