October 2, Fineko/abc.az. Samsung intends to cut several thousand manufacturing jobs in Southeast Asia (Southeast Asia), as well as in Australia and New Zealand, ABC.AZ reports, referring to Bloomberg.

According to some sources, the cuts may generally affect about 10% of the workforce in these countries, although the scale of layoffs may vary in each of them. Sources of the publication note that earlier employees of the Samsung division in Singapore were called to a confidential meeting with executives, during which they were informed about the upcoming reduction. Against this background, the agency recalls that about 147,000 employees work in the company's divisions located outside South Korea, which is more than half of the total number of Samsung employees.
