October 9, Fineko/abc.az. Qatar Energy has signed a long-term oil supply agreement with Shell.

ABC.AZ informs that as part of the agreements, the company, registered in London, will receive up to 18 million metric tons of naphtha annually for 20 years, starting next April.

The latest step in a series of supply agreements with Asian and European partners has been the large-scale expansion of Qatar's Northern field, which is expected to start work in 2026. This project is part of the world's largest natural gas field, known as South Pars, which Qatar shares with Iran.
