Heads of central banks of Russia and Iran discuss strengthening of interbank cooperation

October 11, Fineko/abc.az. Chairman of the Central Bank of Iran Mohammad Reza Farzin met in Moscow with the head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation Elvira Nabiullina. The parties discussed strengthening of two countries’ cooperation in the banking sector, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Iranian Central Bank’s spokesman Mostafa Gamari Vafa.

"The head of the Central Bank, Mohammad Reza Farzin, met with the chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Elvira Nabiullina, on the sidelines of a meeting of finance ministers and Central Bank governors of the BRICS countries in Moscow. The sides covered the matters of strengthening monetary cooperation and interbank cooperation between the countries," Gamari Vafa wrote on his page on X. He added that special attention was paid to the current situation in the process of previously-reached agreements in the field of monetary and financial cooperation.
