October 16, Fineko/abc.az. The IMF recommends Kazakhstan to carry out fiscal reform.

ABC.AZ reports that the recommendations are contained in the Final Statement of the IMF's Article IV Advisory Mission in 2024, published in early October.

Although the reserves of the National Fund have always been used to finance government projects, now the use of reserve funds is on a “larger scale” than in the past, IMF mission’s head in Kazakhstan Nicolas Blanchet stated to journalsits.

He added that it is difficult to track how some of the finances of the National Fund are spent.

“Some operations are completely unexpected, information about them is not disclosed,” he said.
