The profit of Chinese industrial enterprises in September decreased by 27.1% compared with 2023, which was the sharpest drop since March 2020, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the National Bureau of Statistics of the People's Republic of China. This happened amid slow economic growth, declining demand and the crisis in the real estate sector.

After falling 17.8% in August, September's figures were below expectations, underscoring the need for more decisive economic measures. Chinese authorities have stepped up efforts to boost growth in recent weeks, and the country's parliament has scheduled a meeting for early next month, after which an announcement on fiscal stimulus measures is expected.
